The VARYNOXA Craft

The VARYNOXA craft

VARYNOXA began with a simple observation: most fine jewelry is designed to be photographed, not worn. We set out to make the opposite — small, weighty, quietly luminous pieces intended for ordinary Tuesdays.

Materials

Every piece is made from recycled sterling silver and finished with a thick layer of 18k gold vermeil, applied at roughly five times the thickness of standard fashion plating. Our stones are laboratory-grown or traceable natural stones, set by hand rather than by machine.

The making

  1. Drawing — each design begins as a pencil study, then a hand-carved wax.
  2. Casting — small batches in recycled metal, never mass runs.
  3. Finishing — filed, sanded and polished by hand; no two pieces are identical.
  4. Plating — 18k gold vermeil, applied and inspected piece by piece.
  5. Setting — stones set by hand and checked under magnification.

Limited runs

We produce in small batches and retire designs when the run is finished. It is a slower way to work, and it means the piece you own will not be on every wrist by spring.
